Little 'Enzo' Marcer, FFE, is showing Ferrari's
latest design for crankshafts to Dad.
|
|
My name is Andy Marcer. I started Metric Motorcycles and ATV's
because so many of my loyal customers, at various shops I worked at, would
ask me why I don't open my own shop. I also wanted to do things my
way for a change. My way consists of consdiering my customers' needs
above that of the shop whenever possible. Naturally I want to make money
too. I would be a liar if I told you otherwise.
To the right, is Yuliya's (my gorgeous bride, and Julian's wonderful
mother) new birthday present. She just loves this bike.
So I will be doing some special prep on it. Check out
the progress by clicking on the "Articles" link from this site's main menu.

I began working on motorcycles when I was thirteen (pulling them apart
mostly). It's only when I began putting them back together, a few
years later, that I realized I was pretty good at this stuff. I had
a brief time with exotic Italian sports cars, but it wasn't where my heart
was. Soon I was back with the bikes. Nothing quite came close
to the excitement of motorcycles. And that feeling is still with me
twenty years later. I never strayed again from what I love to do.
|
|
I graduated from Motorcycle Mechanics Institute in 1989. That training
I hold in the highest regard. MMI was a place where professionals
taught me the basics and the engineering behind engines and motorcycles.
And with that you can repair anything. After that nothing beats experience.

 |
I have worked on just about everything. I have Motocrossed
and Road Raced my own hand built super single motorcycles.
Along the way I developed a liking to four wheelers, or ATV's if
you wish. I love to work on them and enjoy mudding a great
deal (don't like cleaning up though).

Here at Metric I believe the first step to quality work
is the environment in which it takes place. A neat, clean,
and well-equipped workshop is essential. No expense is
spared equipping my shop with the best equipment
available. I take a lot of pride in my work and I think my
reputation reflects that in this industry. I take customer
safety very seriously. Rather than compromise on a safety
related item, I'd rather not do it. At the same time, every
effort is made to see if I can provide a plan to help
out my customers, whenever possible.
|
 |
At Metric I specialize in repairs. I can get accessories at fair
prices. But I don't stock these items. I carry parts to
service and general wear parts only (i.e. tires, brakes, filters, etc).

Thank you to all my customers, and I hope if you are reading this you will
become a customer too.
